Using Animation Record and Bake Tweener to Bake an IK Animation
Baking is necessary for making your
files easier to transport and render. In professional animation baking
an animation is necessary for exporting animation to stand alone
renderers. In Carrara this can be used to make an animation faster to
render since the calculations required to evaluate an IK system are no
longer necessary.
This video tutorial describes how one can use Animation Record to quickly create a rough animation on an IK rig and then to use Bake Tweener to Bake the IK motion into the skeleton allowing you to delete all IK targets and IK modifiers.
