Controlling Blink Using Driven

Setting Up Controls
Now that you have your interface set up, open your saved file, blink1.car.

In the Assembly room, drag the 2DControl from you custom controls browser window into the 3D view. Close the 2DControl group and place the whole group somewhere to the left of the head object as displayed in the following image.

In the mini panel, change the view to the Front side view. Click on the 2DControl group object in the Hierarchy window and press the "0" (zero) key on your keyboard to center the view to the 2DControl group. Now your window should look like the following.

| Click on the head object to select it and change to the modelling room. You should see the master object for the head object. Select all the vertices and click on the Morph tab in the Properties panel. Select Create and rename the Morph Area to faceMorphArea. |

Click on the Morph Target popup menu to the right of the name of the current morph area and create a morph target. Rename the new target to leftBlink.

On the leftBlink morph target click on the Edit button.

Deselect all by clicking in empty space in the 3D view. Click on the Magnet tool. In the Magnet tool's properties choose Bumpy and change the Radius of Attraction to 0.5.

Afterwards, zoom in on the left eye. Using the Magnet tool pull the vertices from the upper eyelid downwards and pull up the vertices from the lower eyelid so that eye closes down as shown in figure 12. |

Now do the same for the right eyelid naming your blend shape rightBlink instead. Save your file as blink_2.car.
