Driven Tweener
There is also an option to turn on Auto Updating so that you can see
the effects of your controls while moving objects or changing
attributes in the 3D view.

Included is the DRIVER ATTRIBUTE modifier which is a modifier that
you can attach to a DRIVER object and animate its parameters so that
you don't have to rely on the DRIVER's transform attributes alone.

UPDATE! Version
1.8 of the Driven plugin is now available and includes a new
command called Remove Static Keys. Remove Static Keys will remove
keyframes that do no change between the previous and the next keyframe
thus cleaning up your timeline. You can use it alongside the
Animation
Record and Bake Tweener commands to create smoother and cleaner
animation timelines with less keyframes.
This new version includes all previous updates including
a new option to the Bake Tweener command which gives you the ability to specify to include
behaviors which include modifiers and IK movement. You can bake the
resulting motion from on a joint or any object and then safely delete
the modifier or IK from the object.
This update maintains all previous updates including the
Animation
Record command. This new command allows the user to capture real time
transform changes on an object that has either the Explicit or Motion
Path method set. Take alook at the demo video
here.
Animation Record works best with a fairly
fast computer. You can use this new plugi nalong with the Driven
Tweener and the Bake Tweener command to record real time changes to
virtually any timeline allowing you to quickly create the animation that
you envision with ease and efficiency.
Universal Binary versions are now available for all plugins including
the Driven plugin. Universal Binary is for use with Mac Intel computers
and the Universal Binary edition of Carrara 5.1 .
A tweener basically returns a ratio from 0
to 1. The BEGIN keyframe, the previous keyframe to the tweener, would
equal to a ratio of 0. The END keyframe, the next keyframe to the
tweener, would equal to a ratio of 1. The tweener simply returns a
value between 0 and 1 and this ratio interpolates your animation
according to that value.
The Driven tweener allows you to control that interpolated value
explicitly. You simply choose a DRIVER object, an extraneous object to
control your animated parameter. Choose a transform attribute from that
object or create a new attribute of your own and then define the bounds
of that attributge for the BEGIN keyframe and the END keyframe. You can
then animate this DRIVER's attribute to control the interpolation. The
value of that attribute in relation to its bounds will drive value of
interpolation.

The DRIVEN package also includes a Bake Tweener command to allow
youto "bake" your tweener into a series of straight linear keys, no
longerconnected to the DRIVER so that you can speed up rendering
calculationsand simplify your files.

Try out the demo version now!
The download includes
the full version however without a serial code the plugin will function
in evaluation mode. In evaluation mode, Driven Tweener will only
function for a few minutes, the Bake Tweener command is disabled and
you are unable to save files that have the Driven tweener in use.
